TravelVerse Content Usage and Security Policy

1. Purpose and Scope
1.1. This Content Usage and Security Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the principles and practices adopted by TravelVerse (“Company”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding the acquisition, usage, display, and distribution of multimedia, written, audio, and promotional content across our digital platform.
1.2. This Policy also outlines our approach to data protection, system integrity, and user privacy to ensure compliance with international standards and the safeguarding of our users and partners.
2. Content Sources and Usage Rights
2.1. TravelVerse may use images, videos, text, audio, and other content (“Content”) for the purposes of creating Points of Interest (POIs), generating non-commercial NFTs, publishing promotional and marketing materials, and enhancing user experiences within the platform.
2.2. Content may originate from materials submitted by sponsors, tour providers, or location owners; licensed stock content or royalty-free repositories; original content created by TravelVerse staff or contractors; works submitted by local artists under contractual agreement; or public domain or fair use materials accessed via the internet.
3. Image Usage
3.1. All images used on the platform may appear in POIs, non-commercial NFTs, banners, editorial content, or promotional media.
3.2. Contributors submitting images to TravelVerse affirm and warrant that they hold all necessary rights, titles, and licenses to the content; they grant TravelVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, distribute, and modify the images for platform-related purposes; and that submitted content does not infringe on any third-party rights.
4. NFT Content
4.1. TravelVerse may create non-transferable, non-commercial NFTs as part of gamified tour experiences.
4.2. NFT visuals may reuse POI images, be derived from artist-created or sponsor-provided content, or include stylized or modified visual representations.
4.3. TravelVerse does not sell or resell NFTs. NFTs are issued solely for user engagement and interaction within the platform.
5. Video Content
5.1. Videos used on the TravelVerse platform may be produced internally using original, stock, or AI-generated media; provided directly by tour sponsors or location owners; or developed by combining both in-house and partner-supplied materials.
5.2. By submitting video content, contributors affirm they are authorized to license the content and indemnify TravelVerse against claims of unauthorized use.
6. Audio Guides
6.1. Audio guides are generated from original scripts written by TravelVerse editors or descriptive materials submitted by official partners.
6.2. TravelVerse retains full rights to audio files produced and may update, modify, or repurpose them as necessary.
7. Textual Content and Trivia
7.1. Text content, including descriptions, historical narratives, and trivia, may be based on internal research and editorial development or materials submitted by sponsors or public records.
7.2. Trivia and quiz content is created for educational and entertainment purposes only. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, TravelVerse makes no warranties regarding the correctness or completeness of such content and assumes no liability for errors or omissions.
8. Advertising Materials
8.1. TravelVerse may display third-party advertising or sponsor materials across its platform. These may include logos, trademarks, images, promotional messages, and hyperlinks to third-party websites or landing pages.
8.2. All advertisers and sponsors represent that they have full authority to license their materials, grant TravelVerse a limited, non-exclusive license to use their content for the agreed advertising duration, and agree to indemnify TravelVerse against any third-party claims related to unauthorized use.
9. Intellectual Property and License Terms
9.1. Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, all third-party contributors grant TravelVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, adapt, distribute, and display the content on the platform.
9.2. TravelVerse retains ownership of all content created in-house and reserves the right to use or modify such content without limitation.
10. Warranties and Indemnification
10.1. All content providers (sponsors, artists, advertisers, partners) warrant that they are the lawful owners or authorized licensees of the content; that the content is free of any third-party claims or restrictions; and that the content does not violate any intellectual property rights, moral rights, publicity rights, or contractual obligations.
10.2. Providers agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TravelVerse, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from a breach of these warranties.
11. Takedown and Dispute Resolution
11.1. If any party believes that content on the TravelVerse platform infringes upon their rights, they may submit a written notice specifying the description of the allegedly infringing material, proof of ownership or rights, and a formal request for removal or correction.
11.2. Upon receipt of a valid notice, TravelVerse will take reasonable steps to investigate and, where appropriate, remove the content within a timely manner.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelVerse disclaims all liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in third-party content, unauthorized or misleading content submitted by external partners, and damages resulting from the use or reliance on platform content.
13. Data Security and Infrastructure Protection
13.1. TravelVerse is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data processed on its platform and employs a multi-layered approach to cybersecurity.
13.2. We partner with a leading global security provider to implement comprehensive threat protection, including a Web Application Firewall (WAF) to block malicious requests and DDoS mitigation systems to ensure service stability.
13.3. All data transmitted to and from our platform is encrypted using SSL/TLS certificates (HTTPS), safeguarding user privacy and data integrity at every step.
13.4. Our development process includes automated security scanning of all software and containers, enabling the identification and remediation of known vulnerabilities before deployment.
13.5. We maintain a strict patch management policy, applying security updates promptly across our core infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, runtimes, and libraries.
13.6. Administrative access to our systems is highly restricted and protected by strong password policies and access controls.
13.7. Our infrastructure is hosted entirely on Huawei Cloud, enabling us to leverage the compliance, reliability, and robust security controls of a global cloud service provider.
14. Contribution Panel and User-Generated Content
14.1. TravelVerse provides an open Contribution Panel that enables individuals to create and publish their own tours and content on the platform.
14.2. Users who create content through the Contribution Panel are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess the legal rights to use and publish any materials, including but not limited to images, videos, audio files, and written descriptions.
14.3. TravelVerse employs AI-based moderation systems to detect and block content that is violent, sexually explicit, abusive, or otherwise violates community standards. However, these systems are not infallible, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of automated content checks.
14.4. TravelVerse does not review or vet every submission and therefore expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability for content published via the Contribution Panel.
14.5. By using the Contribution Panel, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless TravelVerse, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising out of content they submit or publish on the platform.
15. Policy Updates
15.1. TravelVerse reserves the right to amend or update this Policy at any time. Updates will be published on this page, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
